We would like to thank everyone that came out to the clinic. Everyone had a great time and learned a lot. Thanks to Beth for all her help.
This event is free and all abilities and levels are encouraged to attend.
Thursday it will be Women's Night again. There will be beverages- wine and cheese to enjoy, with plenty of sodas and non-alcoholic drinks, too. For our newer riders, this week's clinic, by request, will discuss the mechanics of curves. Yes, there are several ways to do it and reasons why to use them. Also, to race or not to race... We'll have some input from women racers and non-racers. We will pay some special attention to nutrition and how to better support our cycling with the food we eat. So we can KEEP ON CYCLING 'til we're old. Then we'll have an open forum, and we'll answer each others questions and enjoy The Bicycle Lounge.
Shannon Hornsby, League of American Bicyclists Certified Instructor and former Executive Director of Walk Bike Nashville, will be teaching a Safe Cycling clinic to help all cyclists gain a better knowledge of how to be safe.
Topics covered:
Rules of the road
How to be predictable to motorists
How to ride safely in groups
General Safety
This event is free and open to everyone of all ages and all levels and abilities are encouraged to attend.
Thanks to everyone that came out to Yazoo to support Ride for Reading. Everyone had a great time, we raised some good money, and collected a bunch of books. Couldn't ask for anything more. Now it's time to start working on next months event... what could it be?
